The South West region is particularly vulnerable to the risks of fracking because of the presence of the Yarragadee aquifer.

The Yarragadee is the South West's largest freshwater store and is vital to the region's unique natural environment, pristine farmland and high-value tourism industry.

Fruit and vegetable growers, cattle farmers, winemakers and communities would all be put at risk if fracking was to go ahead in the region.
